PLEASE READ AND HEED
Heads-Up 1 (Lessons): This site is not a substitute for accordion lessons from qualified instructors, from whom many of us have learned, and can learn, a wide variety of tunes and techniques not covered on these pages.
Heads-Up 2 (Terms): Tune is used here mainly as a 'folksy' term for a musical piece, and includes its basic melody, harmony, rhythm, and dynamics, to which the experienced player may add his or her own embellishments. Songs consist of tunes and lyrics. (These high-lighted musical terms, and those on the "home" page, are explained elsewhere on the site.)
Heads-Up 3 (internet): Embedded youTube video advertisements and my links to external web-sites can sometimes lead to further links and advertisements, a few of which may be useful, some may be interesting, most are probably harmless, but it is possible that others can lead to "nasty" sites and to malware and virus problems. Caution is always advised in accessing the Internet!
Heads-Up 4 (Copyright): The majority of the sample tunes (and lyrics) on this site are protected by Copyright Law. While certain personal and public educational uses, such as on this site, may be permitted, it is clear that commercial use, and any other use that infringes on the entitlement of the copyright holder, require special permits and possibly payments. The lyricists and music composers (who may or may not be the copyright owners) are listed on the various tunes pages. As well, while the layout of this site itself and its specific accordion notation are both copyright protected, non-commercial use is permitted, indeed encouraged, provided that this site is acknowledged as the source.
